Mathison Reining Horses is located at Larry & Karen King's beautiful ranch in Pilot Point, Texas. Since 2001 Justin "Gunny" Mathison has been training Reining Horses at a professional level. From 2002 to 2007, Gunny worked as an assistant trainer for NRHA Million Dollar rider Tom McCutcheon. During that time, Gunny had the opportunitity to gain valuable experience in many aspects of the equine industry.

Over the years, Gunny has trained and shown many outstanding horses earning over $350,000 in NRHA earnings and has been a finalist at every major event multiple times. Gunny offers a full range of services designed to fit your needs. He specializes in futurity and derby horses as well as sale horse preparation and prospects. Gunny also provides non pro instruction and program consultation.
