Last minute circumstances and not making the futurity finals lead to showing Starlights Slim in the Open Class at the 2005 SWRHA Futurity. Rhea Kobsar who worked for the Big W Ranch brought Starlights Slim to the show with intentions on showing him. After not making the finals she let me show him in the open class. We made a bet and the owner agreed that if i scored higher then a 225 that i would get to show him next year at the derbies. Well we did just that scoring a 225.5 which was good for second place and a check just shy of $2000. |
